These Terms govern your use of testmypersonality.com, operated by MARTIN IVERSEN KOMMUNIKASJON, an Enkeltpersonforetak registered in Norway (org. no. 929297857), registered address Morellveien 41, 1387 Asker ("we," "us"). By using the site or purchasing a report, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to purchase a report or create an account. testmypersonality.com is not designed or validated for use with minors.

2. What the service is — and isn't

testmypersonality.com provides self-report personality assessments grounded in the Big Five / IPIP-NEO framework, along with generated reports (including OCEAN Snapshot, Relationship, and Leadership reports where applicable) and, where purchased, coaching-related services.

Please read this carefully:

  • Our reports are a self-development and self-insight tool, not a psychological, psychiatric, or medical evaluation.
  • Results are not a diagnosis of any mental health condition, personality disorder, or medical condition, and must not be used as one.
  • Results are not a substitute for professional advice from a licensed therapist, psychologist, physician, or counselor. If you're experiencing mental health difficulties, please consult a qualified professional.
  • All personality assessment relies on self-reported answers and established but imperfect psychometric models. Results describe tendencies and patterns — using deliberately tentative language ("may," "often," "can") — not fixed, deterministic facts about you. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or predictive value of any result.
  • Results must not be used as the sole basis for employment, hiring, medical, legal, financial, or other high-stakes decisions about yourself or anyone else.
  • If you purchase a Relationship Report, you confirm that any second participant has given their informed, voluntary consent to complete the assessment and to have their responses compared and shared with you in the resulting report.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Intellectual property

  • The Big Five taxonomy and the IPIP-NEO item pool are public-domain scientific instruments and are not owned by us or anyone else.
  • Everything else on testmypersonality.com — including our specific report text, scoring logic, the archetype system and archetype names/descriptions, visual design, branding, and the "testmypersonality.com" name — is our proprietary intellectual property, protected by copyright and other applicable laws.
  • When you purchase a report, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes (e.g., self-reflection, sharing with a coach or partner). You may not reproduce, resell, publish, scrape, or create derivative products from our report content, questionnaire, or archetype system without our written permission.

5. Purchases, pricing, and payment

  • Prices are shown at checkout and may be displayed in different currencies depending on your location; the charged amount and currency are confirmed before you pay.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
  • All purchases are for digital content/services, delivered electronically.

6. Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA/UK consumers) and refunds

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. However, because our reports are digital content delivered to you immediately upon purchase, this withdrawal right ends once delivery begins — provided you have given your prior express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. You will be asked to confirm this explicitly at checkout before completing payment.

Outside of this immediate-delivery digital-content exception, or where required by mandatory law in your country of residence, you may be entitled to a refund — contact us at our contact email and we'll handle it in line with applicable law. Nothing in this section limits any statutory consumer right that cannot be excluded by contract in your jurisdiction.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of results. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or statutory consumer protections in your country).

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may close your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data).

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA or UK, mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence still apply and are not overridden by this clause. Disputes will be handled by the ordinary courts of Norway, without prejudice to any mandatory right you have to bring proceedings in your own country of residence as a consumer.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be communicated via email or site notice before they take effect.
