Why trust this test?

Most online personality tests are built to be shareable, not accurate. This one is built the other way around: grounded in published research first, then made engaging second.

The science behind it

Your results are based on the Five Factor Model (Big Five) — the framework most personality researchers consider the closest thing psychology has to a scientific consensus on personality structure. Specifically, we use the IPIP-NEO, a peer-reviewed instrument built to measure the same five traits and thirty facets used in academic and clinical research for decades.

We don't tell you who you are. We show you where you tend to sit on five well-studied dimensions and 30 subdimensions to capture the complexity and full depth of your personality.

Where a "type" fits in — and where it doesn't

Your core result is never a forced label. It's where you sit on five well-studied, continuous dimensions — because that's what the research actually shows personality is.

We do offer an archetype as an optional, supportive layer on top of that — a way to make your dimensional result easier to remember and share. It works differently from a typical "type" because it's always shown as a percentage blend (you might be told you're "72% Pioneer, 24% Captain"), it's derived from your underlying trait scores rather than replacing them, and it's explicitly a naming layer, not a scientific claim on its own. Your dimensional profile is always the real result; the archetype is a convenient label sitting on top of it.

In our Relationship Report, we don't tell you who you should or shouldn't have a relationship with. We tell you where you and your partner might have friction and how you can help ease that friction. Frictions might come from both differences and similarities.

What this isn't

This isn't a diagnostic tool, and it isn't therapy. It's a well-grounded analysis for self-understanding. We give you the results in numbers and explained in text. That way you get a full understanding of your results. If you want to go even deeper, we also offer coaching and analysis walkthroughs.

Your data

Your results are yours. We do not share them, sell them, or distribute them. You can choose to delete them from the database at any time on your account page.
